Yet another TRMNL plugin. This time a bespoke build for my crypto wallets to show my current CAD value and daily change.
In bullish markets I want glanceable awareness of my crypto’s value to watch for potential spikes. But checking drains my iPhone’s battery and tempts me into other apps.
The plugin uses Zerion’s API and Cloudflare Workers to build a custom JSON that feeds into a text-focused TRMNL plugin. This was structured and coded by GPT-5 in less than an hour. The plugin isn’t widely available (yet); it’s very much a scrappy, custom solution with baked-in API keys. Contact me if you’d like the code.
As an aside on the build process: For the first time, I was more impressed by GPT-5’s coding than Claude’s. It’s also clear that memory and personal context could become persistent moats for AI companies.
